helleeeww peoplez! here i am, back at the xanga. heehee :o) so.. lemme see...

my summer     packed up, moved out of our apt, then out of berkeley. hectic. then nyc, it was my first time there, pretty interesting. it reminded me of london. i was pretty disappointed that i didn't get to do any sightseeing. *pout* all shopping. wellz... i mean, as much as i love shopping, i still reallie wanted to go to the museums and at last the statue of liberty. so yeah, i think i need another trip there.. heehee  then it was hong kong!! yes yes, my home. rested up and bummed around for 1.5 weeks, then started my intership @ citigroup. not as bad as i thought. i thought i was gonna hate it, but it turned out to be a great experience. learned a lot. i reallie liked the people in my team. i was pampered. heehee. met a lot of new people. e-mailed a lot... i mean A LOT! *wink wink - ching ching, darren, jess, aj *420*, vic, xtine...* clubbing, partying, and what not was a lotta fun with the girles. *cornstar - u're my dancing partner, for-EVER* good times.  the chrisler came to  visit for a week... heehe   mr andrew fang came to visit too, and stayed over at my place. sorrie i wasn't a very good hostess andrew, blame it all on citigroup! hehee... also went on a family vacation to hawaii and tokyo.  i reallie love hawaii. i still can't believe how beautiful it can possibly be. keep in mind that it was already my 4th time there. so much happened over summer. i know i shoulda updated when i was there... but yeah.. sorrie. i'll tell you guys personally, ok?? can't write too much here.

now     back in the berkeley. i was so overwhelmed by all the freshmen on campus the other day. and i've been cleaning the house. my room looks like a room now. yay!! you guys should come to visit! still living with the same roomies. i lub you all, roomies. i'm so happy that we're all together now... hmm... and oh. started work yesterday. craziness. and oh oh!! i hate bugs everyone... i have...*counting*  5 bug bites on my face. gross.  don't reallie want school to start... *pout*i reallie miss all you berkeley peepz tho. so i wanna see you all soon, ok??

so i decided to update my xanga! i'm finally done with my first round of midterms... *phew*  but the last one didn't go well at all.... . oh wellz... i'll keep things short... but put up more pix.. how's that? so lemme see... i'll start with winter break.

winter break i went back to hk... it was reallie nice seeing my mom and dad, and my gradparents and my bro! it was fun catching up with the girls - anita, jenny, ashley, annie, juju... too bad not all of us where back... *tear* and the guys - jon, darren, dan, chris, mike, k-lub and others. i also went to osaka, and i saw yukiko! yay!! i miss that girlie sooo much  . fun times... here are some pix...

oh yeah, i went to my first horse-racing game this time when i was back in hk. it was a pretty neat experience, sitting in the steward box, reading all the info about the jockey and the horse with my sis and placing the bet. our family friends also taught us how to bet and how everything worked.... very interesting... but the most important thing was that i won $70 net! heehee... :o) not bad huh? i bet reallie small too... like.... $5 or $10?

okie... so back here in berkeley... it's definitely a year of change, as the fortune-teller told my mom. i'm taking 4 classes... one of them is environmental design 4 * reallie interesting & fun, mcb 100, mcb 131 and spanish 2. i'm liking them all... uh... yeah... all! hehee... i'm still working with the lab animals *that's rite, where the monkeys are* and at the mcb accounting office. i'm not on AAA cabinet anymore *sob... miss all you spring 03 cabinet peepz*... but i'm a parent with mr. william tong! yup, he's mah husband! and our family name is Pretty In Mazing Pink aka PIMP * didn't know why my kids picked pink, yes, HOT pink! ...and we have more sons than daughters too...  but it's all good.* i love my 40 kids... too lovely, too cute! oh yeah, for all you will hung fans out there, he's one of mah kids! i'm also doing APC (Asian Pacific Council), OUTREACH Co-chair with evo and cynth *out-reach* and i'm having a reallie good time working with core... they all very cool and fun peoplez.  playing spoons and getting drunk and karaoke... yup, that was our retreat! hehee... wellz... we worked too, of course!

relationships have changed... this semester.. i met a lot of new people, and i get to hang out more with my friends and roomies again. i'm happy. hehee.... :o) i didn't realize how much i missed my roomies.. and so vday weekend, sophie, peggy and i drove down to so-cal. we stayed at my sis' place. she had a vday cocktail party at her place, it was reallie cool. very pretty. peggy dearie was my valentine. and on vday, we went to melrose... but didn't get to shop, wellz... we went to ONE shop - the paul frank store *yay*. but we had fun in the car, singing, laughing at people, feeding each other cake. hahah... dearie, i <3 you! i got to see anita and bk too. we went to disneyland. weee!!  too bad some of the rides were closed... . but it was still a lot of fun.

i'd like to dedicate this entry to my DA GE, mr. BORKAE CHANG!! woo-hoo!! *clap clap* i reallie don't know how i can possible let you know how much i aprreciated you help and your advice, your comfort..... EVERYTHING! these two weeks, or three, or actually this whole semester, my da ge has always been there for me, even though he is extremely busy, and he is taking a reallie heavy load of classes. we've been doing pretty well in kepping our monthly temple / goo waak zai trips. shopping for birthday presesnts, movies, library trips, DC, getting food.... too many to list. oh yeah, my da ge feeds me very well, he always makes sure that i'm eating some nutritious food. heehee.... thank you! he's always been soo supportive, even thought i know he didn't wanna go to certain "events" and dress up as grapes, he still did it! i actually feel kinda bad about that... sorrie!! okie... there is just too much i need to thank my da ge, i reallie reallie don't know how to write this all up, there are so many things in my mind rite now.i'm reallie sorrie for crying and have you get all worried about it. i actually reallie hate it whenever i cry, it's seems like i'm trying to get people's attention by having them sympathize me. i reallie hate that. but i have no idea what's going on with me these days. evaluting myself, and feeling bad about myself. hopefully i'll get out of that soon, and get back to the happy vanessa mode! heehee...  but yeah, throughout all this time, my da ge has always been there, and he checks on me to make sure that i'm ok. thank you soooo sooo much. no one can even understand how glad i became his xiao mei *out of so many girls he knows.... haha.... j/p* thank you sooo soo much!! *hug*

i hate myself.

but i'm thankful for having such wonderful roomies - sophie, peggy dearie, evo. Thank you. i love you three!!

omg omg OMG!! since school started 3 weeks ago, my life has gone into cccaaarrraaaiiiizzzeeeennnnnessss!!! soo... yeah, i'm taking 4 classes and a seminar this semester. the seminar is exceptionally koo! it's a veterinary medicine seminar, and yesterday, we went on a field trip up the hills to look at the largest colony of spotted HYENA in the world. yup that's rite! in the WORLD, larger than the ones in africa, and it's here in berkeley! cool huh?! they were reallie giggly, which made me all giggly too when i hear them giggle. they are here for mainly behavioral and physical research. apprently, the females and males hyenas have very very similar external features, and that includes reproductive features. *CAUTION: this is going to be pretty graphic   a female hynea have a phallus just like a male hyena. it is basically impossible to distinguish a make and a female externally. and i'm not kidding. the staff there showed us a video about reproduction of hyenas. i was so astonished in how the females gave birth to a baby hyena. it was amazing! moms are amazing! i dunno if i should go into more details... maybe ppl who want to know can ask me personally, or if i get a lot of request, then i'll write more about the hyenas in my next entry, yeah? ok. so yeah, i love this class. heehee... :o) oh yeah, and one more interesting fact my professor told me, the disney artists spent more than 6 months here with the hyenas when they were preparing for the lion king. isn't that awsome?? i wish i were here when they were drawing! anywayz... here are some pictures of the hyenas... enjoy!

i'm still on aaa, as i mentioned in the last entry, i'm the treasurer for this semester, and traditionally, the treasurer is the b*tch of the club. i feel so bad for always talking to people about money, and asking people for money. i feel like i'm the meanest person in the world, seriously! i'm reallie not feeling that good about myself at all.  but anywayz... first general was pretty successful. there was a reallie good turn out, and new membership sign-ups were reallie good during family nite, i'm happy with that! heehee... and i'm in the bestest and coolestest family - "Who's Your Daddy?" haha... yeah.. that's my family's name! cuz we have two moms, and no dad! haha... :o) it's a DeVo family... yay!GO DeVo!  

last nite was first committee banquet. and that was a lot of fun! all of the committees seemed reallie excited about this semester. i met almost all of the new committee members, and man, it's so hard to remember all those names. but i'm trying. i'm trying reallie reallie hard. thanks aya, the new DeVo chair for the flower, it's reallie purtty!! heehee... :o) and the nametag, which is smaller than everyone else's... but it's ok. it's cute! i like it petit! and according to tim, it's ok that i have a smaller nametag, cuz i'm small anywayz... haha! that was funnie tim! heehee.. :o) that's pretty true!  yeah... so everyone on cabinet is reallie fun this semester. i like you all, charis and officers! we're gonna it was also nice to see the alumni. ok... so some more pictures!

so yeah, this is aaa life. after banquet, i was soooo exhausted. but i still managed to go to my da ge borkae's place for mooncakes! yyuuummmmmm...  i had the red bean mooncakes, i don't reallie like the lotus seed kind. thank you sooo much da ge. we should go to chinatown more, but i know you won't want to, cuz you're afraid that i'm gonna crash huh? i'm sorrie for making you all scared... i still need waaaayyy more practice, i know! heehee.. :o) sorrie! i've also been talking to yena too! so that's cool! lunch was fun oni! thank you! we should hang out more!
